Happy HALLOWEEN! From John Carpenter

Happy Halloween Everyone! What Better Way To Celebrate Halloween Than To Analyze The Movies That Brought Fear Into The Homes Of Millions And Continues To Be A Cult-Classic, John Carpenter's Halloween. (1978)
A Few Unknown Facts About The Film Halloween Would Include It's Classification As An American Independent Film who's budget was a mere $325,000. Although Grossing over 47 Millions dollars in the US and over 60 Million Worldwide which compared to modern day money would have possibly equalled to around 203 million dollars! The Original Idea For "Halloween" Was Based On Alfred Hitchcock's 1960 Classic, American Psycho. Just As It's Predecessor Created An Evolutionary Way Of Filming, John Carpenter's Halloween Paved History By Defining The Meaning Of Fear And Giving Us What We Now Know As The Ultimate Slasher Template. Halloween Showed Little Gore But Still Manages To Scare Children And Adults Alike With It's Amazing Musical Score Composed By John Carpenter His Self.

Now For What We Know And Love, And What Kills Me Everytime I See This Movie!!
Check Out When Dr. Loomis Shots Michael Myers And He Falls Into The "Dirt" Just Outside The Window! (Start Clip At 7:50)

Here's A Picture From The Clip Above Showing The Ground Michael Myer's Falls On!

Beautiful Patch Of Dirt Is It Not? You Have Small Hints Of Grass Beginning To Form In The Center And A Lovely Branch At The Top To Really Give It That Dirt Wilderness Feel.

Let's Skip Now To Halloween 2 Shall We. Besides Ignore The Fact That In Halloween Dr. Loomis Looks Out The Balcony Window And In Halloween 2 He IS Running Outside The Front Door, Check Out Our "What Was Dirt Floor".

(Start Clip At 3:14)

The Beautiful Dirt Is Gone And We Now Has 2 Things, Alot Of Fresh Green Grass And The Imprint Of Michael Myers' Body With In The Grass, Implying He Was HEavy Enough To Land And Make A Dent In The Ground Or He Was Laying There For Awhile. It Pains Me To See This But It Happened!

Gas Tanks In Roman Times??

Ever Heard Of The Movie Gladiator(2000) Starring Russell Crowe, Joaquin Phoenix, And Connie Nielsen? Academy Award Winner For Best Picture And Best Actor, Russell Crowe, In 2001. Well It Was A Really Cool Movie And Attempted To Stay True To The Time Period In Which The Movie Was Set To. But I Found Something That May Bring The Future Back Into The Past.

This First Movie I Thought Was Pretty Amazing Because It Created A New Way Of Filming That Has Been Mimicked In Countless Movies And The Framing Was Just Spot On. It Created A Sense Of Wonder Between The Time And Space Continuum. Made You Really Focus On What Was Going On And Possibly Consider If You Were In Fact "The One". First Movie Is Of Course The Matrix (1999) Starring Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne And Carrie-Anne Moss.

The Mistake I Found Most Interesting Was What I Now Dub "THE CASE OF THE MISSING GUNS". If You Notice In Picture 1 (1st on left), Neo Clearly Has 2 Guns. Then In Picture 2 (picture on right) He Is Dropping The Guns. Obviously Nothing Is Wrong But...

Check By Neo's Feet And Legs In Picture 3 (bottom left). NO GUNS??? This Of Course Was An Extremely Mind Blowing Shot And Something As Little As Guns Would Be Missing. Now Look At Picture 4 (Bottom Right) When Neo Falls After Being Shot Twice in the Legs. THERE BACK! Neo's Gun's Have Magically Returned.

It May Have Been That Neo Was "The One" And He Can Just Make Guns Appear From "The Matrix". Until We Know Know For Sure Why His Guns Disappeared, We Will Be Left in Wonder. This Movie Was Extremely Advanced For It's Time And Was Heavily Based On Technology! How Much Did It Take Away From The Movie? Either Way...

Thanks "Matrix" For Giving Us A New Way To Film! :D
